WEEKLY WIRETAP VOLUME #2

Poison the Well, Microwave, Moose

1. Poison the well

Killer Track: Nerdy

The mother fucking GOD FATHERS of metalcore end of story. There's one thing Poison the Well does so perfect that no other band will ever compete. They mix insane metal riffs with insane hardcore vocals. While you're at it, Jeff Moreira is screaming at you like you're his therapist. Man I love this band and I think you should too.

One word. NERDY. If you need a song to completely beat your ass. NERDY.

2. Microwave

Killer Track: The Fever

Microwave where do I even start. This band has had me in a death grip for years now, Atlanta has truly been blessed to have this band originate there. Microwave is nervous, they're anxious, its fucking brilliant. Hearing Nathan Hardy's raw vocals screaming at you with some of the most heartbreaking things, its life changing man.

Microwaves absolute killer track for me will always be "The Fever" a build up like could probably start the next world war.

3. Moose

Killer Track: Play God

Alright, now I'm going to show you what RATS GET FAT is really about. Before the emo revival, there was a scene in the UK building the blueprint for "heavy" in a different way not with breakdowns, but with atmosphere. This isn't about screaming it's about walls of shimmering, fuzzy guitar, vocals buried like lost treasure, and melodies that are effortlessly beautiful and deeply melancholic.

Moose proves music doesn't have to be loud to be heavy.
